【温暖金中·学科活动】A Thank-you Letter（5）

To everybody:

This is a thank-you letter for everyone who fights against the novel coronavirus.

First of all, I want to thank the medical workers. They are ordinary people, but when they put on the protective clothing, they become warriors. They stand on the frontline with no fear. They try their best to treat patients. They work hard for about 8 hours a day. When they take off the masks, there are scars over their faces, but they don’t care. Sweat soaks their clothes, but they don't care. No food or water for the whole day, but they don’t care. They have remarkable sense of commitment. They just care about the patients' situation. When patients heal, they smile from the inside. They are the angles in white. They are the heroes in harm's way. They are the bravest people in China.

Second, I would like to thank the community workers and delivery drivers. The reason why we are able to stay at home comfortably is because of their silent efforts. They monitor the temperature of incoming and outgoing people at every entrance and exit to protect the community. The delivery drivers are carrying supplies for us. They build the strongest backing for the medical stuff working on the front line.

Third, I want to thank the government and army. They make the right decision, and they control the situation. They also tell the people the clear number of the patients. They do their best to tell everyone how to protect themselves. They show a strong Chinese leaders’ power and stay calm all the time.

Finally, I want to thank all of us. We stay at home. We don’t go out as usual. We wear masks. All we can do are just a few small things. However, when we unite as one, we are confident and capable of winning the battle against the epidemic.
